Joy in the Big Things

We have had a rough go recently with nothing working.  We have had so many difficulties with electricity and our car that I almost want to just get rid of them and go without!  But it has come to my attention that these are the little things - electricity, car, camera, computer, water in house, paying bills, bank cards not working - little things.

What do you do when your mechanic tells you not to drive through
water, but the roads are like this every few days?
The big things have been going well.  Relationships with neighbors, church leaders, our church and immediate family.  Everyone in our family is healthy right now.  We have 'driven' across town with safety for everyone inside and outside the car.  I am reminded to be thankful to God for each of these things daily.  These are the big items not to be taken for granted.  But the biggest comfort to me in these frustrating days has been of our powerful God who hears and answers our prayers.  So I start each prayer with the big joy and understanding of God's love and care for me and what is happening in my life and all the rest seems small.
