| Smile On reading to Easy Teasy as Zig-Zag holds him! |
But then suddenly we received a phone call that some children were in need of adoption, but no details on December 5th. Later we found out the state orphanage had decided that they were too full and they moved some children to the Christian orphanage that we had been working with. They asked the director to find a home for Easy Teasy because his family had totally given him up. On December 14th we went to see him in the capital city. We took him for some blood work and spent some time with him. We were told he was 3 months old and we were shocked at how little he was and how poorly he was eating. We passed along the word that we would like to move forward with the adoption. On January 11th he came under our care, like foster care, and we found out he really was 5 months old!
It has been so much fun having a baby in the house again. We never thought we would go back to this stage again. What a surprise God has given to us. Everyone in the family loves spending time with him. In fact, Zig-Zag asked if we could get two more Easy Teasies so that each of the children could have one to hold! At first, his legs were not very mobile when he came to us. But we have been working on pushing off and strengthening them some. He loves looking at and exploring his hands and he is doing a spectacular job with tummy time. The great news is that he has gained 2 lbs. already and is growing like a champ. Thank God!
