| This was last year when the power was out - choice 110 outside or 100 inside with no chance of air movement. This year we installed a few solar fans! |
After being out in the 110 degree weather and returning to a fan, El Padre says,. "It feels pretty good in here. Must be mid 80s." (real temp- 104 degrees!) This is not the Michigander you all thought you knew!
Smile On was reading a book in our bedroom with no airflow and sweating all over the place (temp, had to be over 100). Smile On, you have to put on the fan to be in here. Switch it on. "Oh Mommy that feels so much better."

| Our house has been so hot, it is has been known to melt candles! |
Our routine is to sweat out the day, but at night we all pile into the one room that we have AC and treat ourselves by setting it to 86 degrees. We have found if you set it too low it makes the difference too great and days unbearable. Compared to 105, 86 feels very cool! The problem is brown outs. We have some power over them - unplug the fridge and the voltage usually get high enough for the AC compressor to turn back on... Just have to make sure we remember to turn it back on again! But typically the first two hours of AC don't make it under 92.
This seems like some pretty big numbers, but now imagine our friends who are fasting and not even able to drink water during the daytime! Please pray for them, as some develop health issues from the strain on their bodies.
