Life threw us a curveball. Almost a month back El Padre's new (July 2019) computer was performing an update and after restarting to install would no longer start the screen. He worked days on trying to get it up and running. Because we have identical computers, he tried to save his documents he had been working on by installing his hard drive in my computer. The computer immediately installed the new 'corrupt' update and as of a week later my computer is no longer working either. Asus was no help at all. YouTube has been scoured, as well as websites and friends with computer knowledge.
We brought our two old computers back to the Sahel to give away, so we pulled them out. Suddenly, one works, the other not! So I am currently typing this on a computer bought used in 2009 that has already lasted 6 years in the Sahel that we labeled the kids school computer. It no longer shuts down correctly, but is pretty amazing it works. El Padre took it apart to see if he could get it to shut down correctly and you would not believe the dust from 6 years in the Sahel! Yep we have opened up all the little screws on the back of all our computers these past few weeks! Needless to say this has put us back a bit and we have been slow at blogging. Update: God provided El Padre with perseverance and one last idea to try... and it worked! Our 2019 new computers have been almost completely restored!
What else have we been up to? La Maestra has had a cold / cough hanging on for weeks (probably including a second round of virus). The kids all eventually had this virus too. El Padre has been making more cooking stoves and working to sell fish. The children have finished their 12th week of school. Our toddler has been potty training and making havoc where ever he goes.
