Adoption Prayers

Having fun helping mommy in the kitchen!
We may have talked to you while visiting the States about two brothers from a pastor’s family in the orphanage that we were praying about adopting. Sadly, between a visit to the orphanage and learning first hand about the struggles of older international cross language adoption, we have felt this door close. Our hearts are sad, but we do not feel that we have the gifts, time, or energy to do this to God’s glory right now. Please continue to join us in prayer for these boys. In addition, there were newborn twins at the orphanage when we made our return visit. Sadly they both got so sick and one of them died. Both of these things have been a reminder that I am not called to try to solve all problems. God is in control and nothing happens without His knowledge!

We’re learning a lot about the joyful and the hard parts of adoption, but one thing we’re very glad about is how we’re blessed to be able to help Zig-Zag have great medical care for his health. This week we’re going to a hospital a few hours away for a small surgery that we didn’t have time to schedule while in the US. It is very routine, but we do appreciate your prayers for the experience and healing for Zig-Zag!
