A Year of Adoption

It has now been a year of Zig Zag living in our home. I feel like we are obligated to write something. We're not going to pretend it's always be warm and fuzzy. On the other hand, it hasn't been all dreary - just look at his smile!

Even within one day there are roller coasters in our family. We have such high joys and can very quickly go to lows. Older children run out of patience. Middle children feel competitive. And often he feels so insecure or unsure. We keep working to remember how far he has come in this past year. He LOVES to talk, so he has mastered many parts of the English language quickly. He also has caught on quickly to baseball and is willing to be anyone's shadow following them around for their tasks all day long. He doesn't want to miss out on anything! He is full of energy and if he stops he often falls asleep.

Thank you for your support and prayers. We are confident we would not have made it this far without them. We ask for prayers for Zig Zag to be able to develop normal relationships with his peers especially. And we ask for wisdom as parents to be able to make good decisions about the support needed for each of our children.

We're excited for lots of experiences with various children's programs on our travels this summer. These have already given our kids some great tastes of working other kids and dealing with other structures and special activities!
