We really appreciate all your support and prayers for our family and work. So many of you have contacted us and there are so many people praying! Easy Teasy has gone through the first of his hip surgeries to help correct his hip dysplasia. He had surgery last Friday and went very well, but he is still dealing with pain, side effects of medication and a very high level of frustration. They did a bone graft to try to encourage the hip joint to form right, but it also included cutting the femur and re-aligning it with a metal plate. He will be in a brace that keeps him horizontal on his back for the next 6 weeks until his surgery on the other hip. The pain medication seems to be keeping him awake and every time he wakes up (still tired) he realizes he is still stuck in this brace and becomes very upset and frustrated. On top of this, it is very hard to cuddle and comfort him because of all the extra hardware. Please pray for his healing and patience, and for the rest of the family to come together well to keep him occupied for these long days!
(Update: We had a wonderful night of sleep last night (Tuesday). Medicine given every 3 hours, but other than that sleep!)
