Bravo!

I've already found my favorite word in our new language:

Yaowaa!

This needs an exclamation mark because it means "bravo" or "right on," and is said with excitement and a similar sound to the phrase "yowzers batman!"

We have a long road ahead for language learning, but we've at least started it now through listening to some basic vocabulary that the Peace Corp have available on lessons on their website.  We will continue with listening to recordings for the next month to try to tune our ears to the sounds we'll need to hear more precisely when we actually get to work with our language helpers in person!
